FASCINATING!! Twins born in different years 2013 and 2014 (READ)

A woman in Toronto gave birth to twins in different years, the girls one was born in 2013 and the other in 2014, these hopefully wont be too awkward for anyone :))

 As revellers rang in the New Year, a mother in Canada gave birth to twin girls in separate years.

Lindsay Salgueiro was not due to give birth until January 19.

But Ms Salgueiro, who already has two boys, delivered the last baby of 2013 and the first of 2014 at the Toronto-area hospital

Born eight minutes apart, Gabriela arrived at 11:52pm, weighing six pounds and 16 ounces, while her younger sister Sophia was delivered 38 seconds after midnight at five pounds and 15 ounces.

"They are getting all the attention," Ms Salgueiro told CTV News from her hospital bed.

She added that the girls are healthy and doing well.

"I'm so relieved that I got my belly out of the way and I'm back to normal now," she said to CTV News in Canada.

"They kind of got that golden ticket. They've got different birthdays," Ms Salgueiro said. "They're going to be best friends for life."
